Inside the Public Library

The new Public Library offers a quality service and the staff is really friendly and helpful.
They need to buy more books though, there’s a lot of empty space in the bookshelves and some important titles are not there yet. But I trust that will change soon enough.
They also have lots of activities, like storytelling for the kids, origami, painting, puppets…
There’s only one flaw: when I was taking this photo in the hall a lady member of staff came to me and said I couldn’t take any more pictures without being authorized by the President (Mayor), which was a big surprise because I would expect that sort of prohibition in military facilities but not in the public library foyer. It seems to me like a pointless rule and a lousy public relations policy.
Anyway, I recommend a visit. You can read books there or borrow them (after registering and getting a card), use the Internet, read the newspapers, watch a DVD,…

Hopefully, you'll get more books for that library. How important for the children!

We also have a nice branch library and often read books from there. We can also order them over the phone from the main or big library and they are sent to the branch where we live and then we get an email telling us it is there to pick it up. Nice photography.
