We cycled through Ilhavo in april 09 on our way from Sintra to UK, via Santiago de Compostela. We visited your great Maritime Museum. We loved the whole area - great for cycling! Obrigada, Jo
Hi, welcome to our photo blog. We are a multicultural multiethnic family (♀ from Liquiçá – East Timor and ♂ from Ílhavo – Portugal) and at the moment we are living in Ílhavo. We are not photographers; we’re just a couple who owns a camera. Anyway, we hope you like our pictures…
Bicycles
You will see lots of bicycles in this photoblog. There’s a reason for that. Ílhavo has arguably been the bicycle capital of Portugal for generations, even though its vibrant bicycle culture is now somewhat threatened by consumerism and lack of attention from local politicians. We’ll try to document this folk culture and, hopefully, maybe we can persuade a few readers to leave their cars at home and ride their bikes again…

é muito bom ver que a bicicleta serve para todas as idades...
Ou é impressão minha ou ela tem a roda de trás sem ar?
We'd love to see more of this!
